-► The Hand That Made Us ◄-
In the beginning, the Universe was made when the great wolf Youka opened his paws. His eyes became the yellow Sun, and the silver Moon, and his fur pricked the sky with holes. He spread his arms wide, embracing the Earth with love and warmth. From his heart spread Wolf, a creature of purity and innocence. But at once Youka felt resentment, envy, and hate, for this creature he made was most unlike himself. Though it took after his appearance, Youka faced troubles in his life, and so, he made two Wolves, and gave them Sin. Sin was Youka's troubles; sloth, gluttony, greed, envy (avarice), vanity, lust, and wrath. However, Youka did not know that this pair would bring more power and horror to the Earth than he himself could have ever wished.
These Wolves, he called them 'Dire', and did everything his his power to control their ambitious, aggressive ways.
One pack, from each Youka's four paws, was created; unknow to the Dires. It was hidden away out of sight, in a world that could not contain hate or Sin. This pack was called Ambamba, a pack of wolves similar - but still so different - from the Dires. These Wolves Youka called Timbers, because of their slender, lithe bodies. However, though Youka made this new world, he could not guide it. So, he broke himself into fourths, and made three sisters.
A goddess named Souet, who is Goddess of the Moon, is the supremacy and power for Ambamba. Her two sisters Sunrise and Sunset are the watchful eyes of the Sun, battling each other at Dawn and Dusk to keep their precious jewel awake. Two great birds, Thunderbids, followed Souet from her Heavenly throne by Youka. She came to live among her Wolves, to teach them, and to raise them, before returning to her home with the stars. Teller and Seer remained on Earth, as Souet's eyes and ears.

. summer .
Seasonal Climate; Summer brings humid winds and scorching temperatures. Rain is occasional, but not frequent, and the ground is almost always cracked and dry. Prey, though, is still abundant in the mire where the ground is shaded and foliage is plentiful.

If you're not interested in creating a character, then perhaps you'll look into adopting one that's been disowned. (Biographies are still needed for wolves that are adopted. If a user has put a wolf up for adoption that has an accepted profile, then you need only to create the account, or take the account from the user who placed the wolf UFA.)
Post inside using only the form provided. Administration will look over your application to make sure that it fits our requirements. If your character is accepted, he or she will be moved below. If not, then an Admin will post what you're lacking.
If your wolf has been accepted by an Admin, then your character's biography will be listed here for safe keeping. Note: You're expected to keep this profiles updated based on your roleplaying here. Ages and histories must be kept in order.

Diving Ambamba from the unclaimed dales of the south, is a large, raging river. In many parts it is simply wide and muddy, with calm flowing waters. However, the currents are swift and fierce, able to take a careless wolf away to unknown lands... Despite it's reputation, it's a great hunting spot, as the ground around it is soft and lush; unlike the red desert just north of it.
The Wenchmire is really an extraordinary place. Though the sun is hot on the earth, baking and a cracking the red-colored soil until it's unbearable to stand on, the Wenchmire is well, a mire. The ground is soft and dappled with puddles. The undergrowth is thick and leafy, while the canopy of the thousands of tall, broad-leafed trees shades the entirety of it. Because of the pleasurable temperature and spacious hunting grounds, wolves often spend there time in the mire, more so than anywhere else.
The Wenchmire opens up to a desolate, sunbaked earth. The ground is red, cracked, and simmering, and is (needless to say) only safe to travel during the night. Only small shrubs and bushes provide shelter for smaller animals, and prey here is very scarce. However, the only way to reach the ravine is by traveling through the Redwinds, and the only way from the ravine to the Wenchmire is through the Redwinds.
In the heart of the Wenchmire is a huge lake. It's size is too massive to comprehend in words, and the only way to describe it would be to call it an inland sea. It is impossible to see the opposing side of the lake, from any direction; even on the clearest day. However, despite its imposing size, the lake is a great gathering place. The water is fresh and cool, but in some places, the edge of the shore drops off into an endless abyss. Fish are plentiful, but not many wolves have a taste for their oily, bland, meat. There's a rumor, though, that at the darkest hour, the beast that lives within the lake will surface. It's a great monster, said to be snake-like, as thick as the ravine, and as long as the entire formation of The Yilnats. Of course, no wolf can come forth and say that they've witnessed it, but what a sight it would be!
Rising up in the east are tall, rocky structures called The Yilnats. These formations, like the ground, are red and dusty, but carved out inside them are great cave systems. It's here, in the cool, sheltered mountains that the wolves of Ambamba have made their dens. It's easy to get lost in this labyrinth, so experienced wolves patrol the passageways every morning, noon, and evening to check for lost pack members.
Separating Ambamba from a Hellish world is a deep, seemingly endless gorge. However, there is a bottom, and there is a way to get to it. In the far east the sheer drop opens up into a stair-like formation, enabling wolves to climb down into the darkness. A small stream runs through the middle, with enough space to fit several wolves comfortably on either side. The ravine belongs to no one, because of the long, exhausting journey is often dangerous and unpredictable.
Across the gorge is an area that the wolves of Ambamba do not wish to have. Not only is it hard to get to, but it lacks shelter from the boiling sun. There are few trees, and only those that are left are stripped of their leaves. Tall, dusty-red peaks rise up in abnormal forms, casting eerie black shadows across the baked earth. Despite the fact that the area is only a glance away, across the ravine, the land appears a whole world away...
